Many people think that it would be easy to turn WinSCP into a local file manager. It won’t. There is still too much missing functionality. And I do not plan to add it, as there are still missing functions to add in what WinSCP is intended for (file transfers).

However note that WinSCP is also available as a plugin to two filemanagers, Altap Salamander and FAR Manager. So you may check them.
