Re: persisting error on various far versions

I tried three configs:
far2.0/vista/local user install
far2.0/vista/global install
far1.75/xp/local install
all used plugin 1.6.2

tried two hosts, same results.
in every scenario as soon as I tried editing a file with F4 (external editor, editplus) invalid memory access arised. which works just fine on loal files, no hassles. on vista, after error, I could use the internal viewer but on the xp both editing and viewing kept on throwing this error.

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile.

tried Far2.0/xp/user local install.
first editing is fine. then, every file edit (F4) in that directory raises the error.
after changing directory, I can open one file again. embarassing :S

I've thought this has been fixed 1.5.1, hasn't it?

Do you have option Upload after every save option enabled or disabled?

typo:
directory "seconddir" on left panel
should be
directory "seconddir" on right panel.

Here is my way to reproduce this bug:

* open far (1.70b2087)
* open ssh://host/data/web on both panels (using keyboard shortcut)
* switch to directory "firstdir" on left panel
* switch to directory "seconddir" on left panel
* both directories contain file "staff.pl"
* editing one file then saving it (f2), uploads result to _both_ directories (i can see 2 upload windows, one after another)
* close editor, switching panel (tab) and trying to edit (f4) file gives "invalid memory..." or "error listing directory" error. I can still view (f3) the content.

I saved debug 2 log and can email it to you if necessary.

Re: Invalid access to memory

I'll check it. If you eventually find a way how to reproduce the problem, please let me know.

Invalid access to memory

Happened twice today: i push F4 (edit) on remote file, Far says 'invalid access to memory' and file content was replaced by previously edited file. Both files have same name, lying in different locations on same server.

Unfortunately, I can't intentionally reproduce this bug and winscp debug logging slow down my work.
Is this a known bug? What can I do to prevent it?

Thank you.
