Some speed data

I tested the transfer time of two files, each about 100MB, from c:\...\folder1 to c:\...\folder2 on a windows XP with cygwin, no FTP.

winscp, SFTP protocol, 120 seconds, indicated speed 1700KB/s in maximum
winscp, SCP protocol, 100 seconds, indicated speed 2300KB/s in maximum
Dos scp 25 seconds
Dos cp 25 seconds
Dos copy 5 seconds

A faster winscp would be great, e.g. for using synchro, thanks.

winscp on localhost

winscp is working fine on localhost, however, the transfer speed is not extraordinary, i.e. not really faster than for a connection to a remote server. Is it possible to speed-up a "local" connection? I often synchronize folders or disks on localhost or within a local network, and winscp is the best for this, except the speed...
