I often re-upload the files that are different in file time but with the same contents, only to have the same file time.
It would be helpful for me, to see which files are different to decide which files are modified by me and which files need to get uploaded. (And the downstream is often a lot faster than the upstream 8) )

To improve "Compare directories" there should be an option to compare by file contents.
Comparing by file size won't work for me cause of win <-> nix conversion. Comparing by file time won't work if files are checkout from SVN but the committer uploaded the files before.

WinSCP should download each file (to RAM or temp-dir) and compare by contents. No matter if this may take some seconds...
