Using exclude (pipe) filter removes all files from file view

WinSCP 5.1.1
Win 7 Pro 64bit
Problem occurs regardless of server to which I am connected
Fresh WinSCP profile, no special configurations
Environment > Interface: Commander

In the 4.x series, I used
|desktop.ini;thumbs.db
to exclude these files from the file view. In the 5.1.x series, this pipe exclude causes all files to be hidden from view (both remote and local). Directories still show, just files are hidden. See screenshots below:
