One must keep the menus rather short, otherwise it becomes chaotic.

Maybe. However if you want to copy file path to clipboard use File(s)/File names/Copy to clipboard

Hi,

Could you make the property information in the Property window (of files and folders etc) as read-only but user selectable text. (see MS Windows property windows for a file to for a better explanation of what i mean).

This would be most useful to save us from typing a lot of stuff.

BTW, you might also, let the file/folder name in property window user-changeable text so that renames can also be made there.
