Any news about this?
In Filezilla it is really very useful. Unfortunately I stopped use Filezilla because of non-encryption for passwords.

Re: How make WinSCP upload or download a file on any update?

What Filezilla does is, when you open a local file for editing from Filezilla, it starts watching it and prompts you to upload it to remote directory that was active at the time you opened the file, whenever the file is modified.

I'll check how Filezilla does that. To to be honest I very much doubt about that.

Yes, that what I've said.
I could not test it right now: in our system ftp with the Filezila is not accepted, but on end of 2011 I've worked in another company, where Filezila was standart for ftp with Windows.
I've get recognized that by ocasion and after that enjoied to use it all the time!

How make WinSCP upload or download a file on any update?

(I am sorry if that discribed anywhere or been already asked!)
Big thanks to WinSCP group for nice, simple, liable and comfortable tools!

I am asking about functionality that could be not available, but just because I have seen that on FileZila, I expect that I could not find how to do that.

My intention to have the WinSCP automaticaly download or upload a file when it was editted.
Something like that is happening on opened for editting a remote files.

I would like to be able edit a file from local site and have it updated remotely.
In FileZila that heppening if I have upload a file and after that make it edited. So,, as soon as I made changes, the file is uploaded automaticaly.
This way I have the file on my computer and up-to-date version of the same file remotely. Kind of, remote linkage

The remote editing is not an option for such functionality at least because the temporary files are removed.
AlsoI need a file in specific location and that is depend on what file I am editing.

The WinSCP actualy already doing that 'following' ; so, if I would to dirrect the WinSCP to follow on file that I need to be linked and not deleting it when I am done with editing, it would be what I need.

I thought it could be done by synchronizing, but, no, synchronizing is not following up on chnages.

Maybe it is possible by some other way?
Please, let me know if that is possible!

Thanks.
