Recovery of Login-Data // where are config-files located?

Hi there,

i cant find by search what i was looking for,
just as a brief excuse for maybe posting sth old again.

I just switched my computer-hardware and I urgently need the login-data to some ftp-servers.

As I had to install WinSCP on my new system, I thought there is a way I can copy the ftp-sessions/login-data from the old installation into the new one.

is there a config-file or something that contains the stored connections/sessions?
I cant find anything in program directoy of winscp, either can I find something under documents/user/application data ...

where is winscp storing its configuration?

That would helb me out a lot.

thnx in advance

uah... its the registry ... is it?

... I just found out (thanks winscp's documentation) that the software is storing the sessions in the registry.

so i guess there is no way around spiffing up my old windows installation for the needed information, is it?

It's in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Martin Prikryl\WinSCP 2\Sessions

If your windows machine's still running, export it and import it on the new machine.

If not, you'll have to open the registry offline by opening the corresponding ntuser.dat with a registry viewer like "Windows Registry Viewer".

cheers,
