Slow login after version 3.6.1

Any version after 3.6.1 takes about 1,5 minutes to login. Last message that I get is "Reading remote directory". I thought this had something to do with WinXP SP2 firewall so I disabled it but it had no effect. I also disabled the firewall service but it didn't help either.
any ideas what changed between 3.6.1 and 3.6.5 Beta, that could lead to this kind of behaviour?

Only change I can think of with such impact is the directory tree. But I do not think that this is the case. Can you post a log file? Do you have the problem with all servers or with one particular only?

Hmm, I obviously need to include timestamp for log entries :-)
Can you do this for me: Enable log window, log in and watch the log window to see on what entry it hangs for that 1,5 minute. Thanks.

I think these are the 2 last lines:
< Status/error code: 0
. Startup conversation with host finished.

But... this is weird. After weekend (my computer was off) login is working fine with all versions and takes only about 5 seconds. I think there is/was something wrong with my environment. I don't remember if I rebooted my computer after I disabled XP firewall so I enabled the firewall and rebooted again. Login still works like it should be. I'm sorry that I bothered you with this. If this problem comes back I'll let you know. Sorry!!!

I may as well be a problem with local directory. I see in the log that your initial directory was c:\temp, which may contain large amount of files. Can you try to set the directory again as default one?

Well, same thing again. I have restarted computer enabled/disabled firewall, changed default local direcory to default and to empty directory. Login (after I give password) takes 26 seconds with 3.6.8 and opens instantly with 3.6.1. Last "fast" line is:
". Startup conversation with host finished. "
(Which is also the last line in logfile).

I'll manage fine with older version too, so relax. I seem to be the only one with this problem. :)
