Hello,

is it possible to use WinSCP also as an FTP-Client? I like WinSCP very much, but I haven't found something similar for unsecure FTP.

Hi
AFAIK - No WinSCP can not be used as a normal FTP client. By it's design it's a secure FTP client.
FileZilla however is very similar to WinSCP for normal FTP'ing and it's Sourceforge listed/open source like WinSCP.

Kind regards.

Oh, it's a pity.

I really like to edit with F4 and not be asked when uploading the edited file. I still work with FileZilla, but in my opinion it's not very similar to WinSCP.

Thanks for the answer,

You will have to spend money, but ws-ftp pro
has this feature.
