Hmm... Have been looking at the limitations between SCP and SFTP, and perhaps a "hybrid" mode would eventually be useful, where both protocols are used in such a manner as to try to circumvent the limitations inherent to both SFTP and SCP.

No rush, just a thought Smile

Your thought was already partially implemented in 3.6.7, released today.

With SFTP session, you may open secondary SCP session to execute commands. This enables "Open terminal", "Custom commands" and command-line for SFTP sessions.
