The directory is owned by a different user but the user i'm using is the same group the owner is in with 770 permissions to that specific directory.
Whenever i edit a text file that directory i get this error:

Code:
Upload of file .. was successful, but error occurred while setting the permissions and/or timestamp
Permission denied.
Error code: 3
Error message from server: Permission denied

It transfers the file successfully but it gives me the error which is annoying. So when i switch to filezilla i don't get the error, it transfers the file normal with the error? Sorry if i'm not providing enough information regards this error, the debug has sensitive information.

Thanks!

Please read documentation:
https://winscp.net/eng/docs/message_preserve_time_perm

FileZilla is silently ignoring errors when timestamp/permissions update fails.

Yeah, i don't understand the documentary. How do i disable the Preserve timestamp and ignore the permission error like filezilla?

As the documentation says, disable Set permissions and Preserve timestamp options or turn on Ignore permission errors.
