When I edit a text file in WinSCP, it removes executable permissions of the owner. I'm guessing this might have something to do with how I re-upload the edited file from my computer back to the remote, although the temporary folder on the local side seems to have all permissions enabled. Is there any way to avoid this permission change?

Thanks in advance

It's odd because I already had this feature disabled, but when I enabled it for all files (under "Preferences/Endurance"), my permissions are no longer changing... how am I not losing permissions while recopying the file onto the remote side?
