The ISO 3166 codes for Portugal are PT/PRT/620; BR/BRA/076 for Brazil
The ISO 639 code for Portuguese language (general) is POR/PT. The language codes are often described as PT-PT (Portuguese from Portugal) and PT-BR (Portuguese from Brazil). I have never seen PTG as an official standard code. PT-PT and PT-BR are basicly the same but with innumerous different words, therefore they deserve a separation. |
