suppose you xfer a file 300 times a day, because you're working on your startup and you edit and upload this god damned file every minute.
you don't want to drag and drop the file every time
you don't want a batch file that waits to connect to the ftp every time.
you don't want to open a cmd connection and type commands every time
you want the gui to point to a dir and you want to click on an icon that runs a batch file that xfers that file directly

1) WinSCP allows you to edit remote file directly, uploading it back anytime you save it.
2) You may find a function keep remote directory up to date useful as well.
