Problems reading an OMVS Content

Hello,

I am in the need to transfer files in batchmode to an OMVS-System under z/OS 1.9.

I cannot retrieve a directory. I searched your forum and in BUG-Report 49 it is stated that non-Unix-like systems are not supported. Since OMVS is a UNIX-System under z/OS, there must be a possability to commuincate. winscp is so far the only program i found that writes a fine log and handles returncodes. my Logfile follows. Can anyone help ? Is there timeline for correcting the bug/establishing the functionality ?

Regards mjfuchs

Same issue: MVS does not show files

Hi there, I have the same issue.

The log file shows that a directory listing can be obtained, but nothing is shown. And I'm sorry, but this server is only accessible from within our company. Access from the outside world is not possible.

Hi there,

It's me again, but now I'm registered so you can contact me by email as well

Oh, and regarding mjfuchs' issue: it looks like the remote directory "ZT01." does not exists. Can be set up under Environment - Directories - Remote Directory. Don't leave it empty!

I just noticed this in the log:

> Retrieving directory listing...
> TYPE A
> 200 Representation type is Ascii NonPrint

Could that be why nothing is shown?

Same problem IBM MVS on z/OS can't read directory

I'm having the same problem. Trying to connect to our mainframe.
Here is what WSFTP spits back as it is connecting.

215 MVS is the operating system of this server. FTP Server is running on z/OS.
Host type (S): IBM MVS

I've tried setting the remote directory the same as I do with WSFTP
PER.FTP.PER814.PPER0241
I get this error
Could not retrieve directory listing
CWD cmd failed : EDC5129I No such file or directory.

Here is the log
