Topic "Deploying WinSCP with forced Master Password"

Hello,

We are looking for a replacement for our existing ftp/sftp/scp tool. Because of security reasons, we do not want to allow users to store their passwords unencrypted. Is there a way to deploy WinSCP with master password enforced somehow?

Thanks

Master password is part of the configuration. So just follow the guide for custom distributions.

Thanks Martin,

Let me rephrase my question. Due to security requirements, all WinSCP users should have master password enabled. But I don't want to enforce the same password for all but rather let users to set master password at first run.
So is there a registry setting to do that? I can't see such setting in the link you have posted.

Thanks,

Greg

OK, I see. No, this is not supported.

Thanks, Martin. So you may want to add it as a feature request:)
