Problems with symbolic links to raw devices

When cd -ing into a directory containing a symbolic link to a raw device then the following error occurs:

Error listing directory "/sybase/t/data".
Unexpected directory listing line "crw-r----- 1 sybase sybase 64 0x010003 Mar 5 13:31 /dev/vg01/rlDART1.iq".
Operation aborted

Refreshing the directory causes abotion of WinSCP.
