I will take a closer look and watch it while doing some tests. The normal operations I perform are drag and drop transfers both ways as well as using the Synchronize function both ways.

I do not believe it is linked to the external editor functionality or the monitoring of files open in my external editor so far but closer tests may prove otherwise.

Re: Memory Leak in 4.0.6 Build 358

Can you determine what operation causes WinSCP to consume more memory?
What is your external editor, and how have you configured it in WinSCP?

Memory Leak in 4.0.6 Build 358

Hello, I'm using it in Windows XP Pro 64-bit and it's become an essential tool in my everyday work. I love the program and don't reboot/restart often.

Over time I have noticed the virtual memory size of WinSCP has gotten very large, at one point over a gigabyte. It does not start off this way and occurs over time. The main function I use is opening remote files in my file editor and have WinSCP upload changes automatically.

So I'm not sure if it's my platform or the fact that the tasks I'm running have a leak but I'd love to see this fixed. Having to restart WinSCP to free the memory is very inconvenient.
