According to ryanbarrett.matthews the issue is gone in 4.1.1. This would suggest that the problem is caused by Bug 185.

I have sent an email to both of you. Thanks.

Hello Martin,
I am also having the problem. I would be happy to use the Debug version to help determine the problem. I have experienced this problem on multiple computers.

Seems to be fixed now

I tested with the debug version you sent, and everything went OK. Seems like whatever the bug was, it got fixed between the versions. Thanks for the great product.

Best regards,

Re: The same problem happen to me

Can you provide me your email address, so I can send you a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? If you do not want to post the address here, you can send me an email. You will find it (if you log in) in my forum profile. Thanks.

The same problem happen to me

Hi, I'm not the original poster, but the same problem occurs when I'm trying to upload a big file, WinSCP crashes without a message. The protocol used is FTP.

Thanks for the great software, best regards
martin

Re: WinSCP 4.1 permanently crashes uploading big files ...

What protocol are you using?
None

WinSCP 4.1 permanently crashes uploading big files ...

... the file size is about 5M. WinSCP crashes after uploading between 1.5M and 2.4M.

As there is no further message (WinSCP is suddenly gone) I maybe can't give you further information.

PS.: WinSCP seems to be more instable as every version I used before.
