Re: Public Key Question

It depends on SSH server. With OpenSSH (most common), you put it to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys

Public Key Question

Where should I place it?

Winscp is installed on my xp.

My site will be installed, on my Fedora 9/Linux server.

Much of my site's maintenance, like ftping, etc. will be performed through the xp (hence, my need for winscp).

So, the private encryption key is stored in a directory, on my xp.

But where should I place the public key?

I suspect that it should be on the Linux, but where? What directory?

I also suspect that conf file(s) will have to be altered, but which one(s)?
