Re: Download speed

SSH (SCP) will be always slower than FTP, because of the encryption. Current implementation of SFTP in WinSCP is rather slow, I have just finished new version, which should be times faster. I'll release it soon.

SFTP, but scp isn't very fast either (about 500 KB/sec), but I can live with that :).

Download speed

When I try to download a large file (about 500 MB) from my linux machine to my windows XP with WinSCP, it only reaches a max. speed of 80 b/sec. When I download the file with FTP or samba it reaches about 9 MB/sec. When I just use SCP on another linux machine there are no problems either. Does anybody know what this might be?
