Bug in Update (Ctrl-U) in WinSCP 4.1.8

I'm using 4.1.8 on Vista.

When I use the 'Keep Remote Directory up to Date' command there is a check box that lets me choose whether I want to 'update subdirectories' (as opposed to just updating the current directory).

If I choose not to include subdirectories, and to do a 'synchronize on start', the synchronize DOES include directories.

Perhaps it is supposed to work this way: that the synchronize option is unrelated to the update and uses different settings (my last synchronize settings perhaps)?
