Re: [solved] Show hidden files or modify LIST command

Dear Martin Prikryl,

I cannot find option either to show hidden UNIX files or modify LIST command (like I'm able to do that per record with native FARFTP plugin by adding -a switch).

Is this implemented in WinSCP plugin 1.6.1 for FAR?

If not, please do. A lot of hosting providers (you may google and find out helpdesk tickets) hide files begining with point therefore editing such files (e.g. .htaccess, .htpasswd) is a great pain without seeing them in a list.

Warm regards from Russia.

Click on the "view" menu (or "options", if using the Norton Commander interface).

Click on "preferences".

In the preferences window, click on "Panels" on the left menu.

Uncheck (or check) the "Show Hidden Files" box to show or hide the files.

also in!

yes +1 for showing of hidden files!.. im going around in circles on this forum, and still unable to view my .htaccess file on my server while logging through SSH...

point is, i can keep on overwriting it upon upload each time, but let's face it, it's really not practical, and very time consuming :S
twodev

+1, that would be great

WinSCP itself supports this fully in 4.2.x. See documentation. The plugin supports that in 1.6.1 as well, though the feature is not configurable in GUI. You can set the option in registry. Or you can use WinSCP 4.2.x to configure that, the plugin will use the settings. Note though that the option is enabled by default. Log file may reveal what goes wrong. Also note that you need to have showing of hidden files enabled in FAR to actually show the files.
