Re: "A call to an OS function failed" - when editing file

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile.

"A call to an OS function failed" - when editing file

For WinSCP Version 4.1.9 (Build 416) on WindousXP

Sometimes, pressing F4 key to edit a text file results in "A call to an OS function failed" error and the session will terminate and I have to reconnect.

As far I have realized, it happens when both file-path and file-name are long and also file-name includes more than one "." (which are inevitable for me).

Any help would be appreciated.
