transfer queue balloon tip

Apart from this i have to add: this is great work what you've been doing.
I'm using winscp to transfer, edit, upload files over 50-60 remote boxes.

Keep up the good work!

transfer queue balloon tip

Hi guys,

Actually i was using this feature(bug).
Can i request to be an option in preferences to enable/disable baloon notifications for background uploads?
Even if it was saying "Transfer queue is empty." i could be sure that my file was uploaded.
Sometimes i leave a session hanging around 1-2 days while a file is temporarly dowloaded and open in an editor.

So it happens that the session breaks and the background upload is unsuccessfull.
The problem is that winscp main window doesn't get focus in these cases (which is good) but it leaves me without assurance of the proper upload..

Thanks,
//Sanya

Was this feature bugged?

In what situation are you expecting balloon tip and it does not come?

I have windows 7 beta.

I actually don't mind this and wouldn't turn it off if given the option. I use the popup as confirmation that the changes have been uploaded when I can't actually see the WinSCP window. But I can see how it can be annoying.

I've experienced the same problem today, when I had to edit some file many times. This "queue empty" message became a real headache by the end of the day, so thank you for the solution!

It would be great to have the option to disable this. I don't mind the balloon popups for new version notification, etc., but otherwise I personally find them incredibly distracting.

Thanks for consideration. :)

Re: transfer queue balloon tip

I haven't realised that the notification will not be pleasant when background transfer is used to upload files from editor. There is no way to disable this particular balloon, but you can disable all balloons in preferences.

transfer queue balloon tip

I've tried searching for this but no success. When remote editing, saving a file back to the server results in the balloon popup in the system tray "Transfer queue is empty." When making multiple quick edits, this is *incredibly* annoying. Is there a way I'm missing to turn this off?

Thanks.
