Amazon EC2: Network error

Hi!

I try to connect to the Amazon EC2 Servers. They use a private key SSH authentication. Used putty and was able to connect to the console of AWS.

Happy as was, I tried to set up a connection using WinSCP. I use exactly the same credentials / connection details but I'm not able to connect.

The programm hangs and after some seconds (white screen) it displays a "Network error" reconnect error.

I activated logging, but not a single log message is written nor an error message or something else is displayed. Only this white screen.

Does anyone has an idea what goes wrong? I'm sure the connection works and I don't see a difference between the putty connection and WinSCP.
