How to change download file name with a prefix

Hi. Am using WinSCP 4.2.7 on XP and am new to the product. I need to create a script that will be a scheduled task that will download some files from an FTP site daily. As the files are downloaded, I want to change the file name from, as an example, "fname.txt" to "mmddyy_fname.txt" where "mmddyy" will be the current date. I've tried using some of the masks, but haven't been able to do an insert of the "mmddyy_" prefix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
