Problem installing a deb file through "console"

Hi.

I'm very new to the Iphone so I am even newer to the likes of winscp etc. My phone is jailbroken etc.

I am on IOS4.0 on my iphone 3G and I have downloaded cycorder via cydia. However it does not work. I read somewhere that if i install it through winscp it would work. However when i hit "ctrl + t" to bring up the terminal, i type in the command "dpkg -i /tmp/cycorder.deb and i get the following in the screen

/private/var/tmp$ dpkg -i /tmp/cycorder.deb
(Reading database ... 1455 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace cycorder 0.9-6 (using /tmp/cycorder.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement cycorder ...
Setting up cycorder (0.9-6) ...

it hangs on that and doesn't finish. Should i be closing it or is it not working?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
