Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile.

It doesn't disappear.

In fact, I waited really really long; but it stayed on.

When I gave up and restarted, the operation had long finished.

Re: Timeout in remote-local copy operation

WinSCP should dismiss the dialog once the server responds. Just wait long enough. If the dialog does not dismiss for you let me know.

Timeout in remote-local copy operation

I have a QNAP TS-800 NAS in which I need to do copy operations (all in the NAS, i.e. from one directory in NAS to another directory in the same NAS).

If the copy operation takes sometime (it usually does, due to larger number of small files), WinSCP gets back to me with "host not responding for 15 secs" message.

And, there's only one option/button on that message: Abort.

The thing is, there is not reason to 'Abort' --if only it could re-check in that time, WinSCP would also find out that the NAS is alive.

Or, better still, if I could specify the time-out option somewhere, things would be much nicer.
