...um?...could you explain more what you like about the internal editor?

I remember not liking it at all, I always change it to Notepad...specifically Notepad2.

I really recommend trying Notepad2 & making sure it wont fit your needs (it fits mine really well {& the "internal editor" probably wasn't made to be "really good"}).

I like notepad a lot. I use it more than Microsoft Word or Wordpad, but while documenting a work website I copied from notepad several hundred lines of code. I accidentally used WinSCP's Editor and used it for what I needed it for and copied straight from it to Word and I liked the formatting and have done now several hundred or even 10's of thousands of lines of code now with it and resetup the first beginning code with the WinSCP format copying directly from WinSCP again.

I temporarily lost the login info, so cannot access the editor at this time. I was looking for the direct editor or direct access to the internal editor or the WinSCP Explorer where the Editor can be accessed.

Using Internal editor outside executable application

To whom this may apply:

Can you please make it possible as an external program by itself the internal editor and/or with the file manager or explorer.

Call it WinSCP External Editor or WinSCP Explorer & Editor (WEE) or WinSCP File Manager (WFM) or WinSCP-FM

I need the editor for writing documentation for a website for the company I work for.

I fell in love with the way it displays info and currently use it for copying code. If I am unable to open a connection, I would like to be able to open a file without creating a session even if it was without opening WinSCP itself. A separate application, unless there is a way from command line to use the editor only with or without the explorer.
