Re: Drag-drop from remote to network drive often freezes?

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

Drag-drop from remote to network drive often freezes?

Hi!

I'm using WinSCP 4.2.9 build 938 on a Win7 Pro 32-bit machine. Transferring files from the company FTP to our drive-mapped network drives, WinSCP frequently freezes: the screen is completely white except for the title bar, and it doesn't respond to any user input during a couple of minutes. Maybe it's coincidence, but I shift-drag&drop lots of files to move them, but never had the issue using F6-Move. Admitted, I use F6 rarely. Whenever the freeze happens, the copy/move dialog doesn't show. All of a sudden the transfer starts, after quite a delay (>30s).

The FTP-server according to WinSCP is UNIX Type: L8, FTP without compression.
The network drives are for example N:\ which map to a share on our Windows 2003 server.

Has this been reported before?

Thanks in advance!
