SwiFTP server on Android tablet and WinSCP compatibility

I have installed the SwiFTP server on Android tablet on
ftp://192.168.0.123:2121/ and it works great from Explorer,
for example. I can navigate and manipulate files. Note the
unusual port 2121, but this works fine.

However, using WinSCP 4.4.3 (or earlier), I can connect
fine and see the usual: tmp, var, mnt, sdcard, opt... in
the root dir. I can even enter those dirs, but all they show
is ".." and this popup then appears:

Error changing directory to 'xxxx'
Could not retrieve directory listing
Can't CWD to invalid directory

To get back up one level, I click/Enter on "..", but
WinSCP then freezes and needs to be killed.

However, if I select '/' from the pulldown menu above, I can
go up one level without crashing. Still, no way to see any files
in any dirs. Note that there are some text files in '/' and I can
copy and display them just fine.

PS. Does it make sense to create a forum section for Android issues?
