My winscp version is 5.0.4. I use the "keep romote directory to date" command to put files. Recently, it will pop up "invalid access to memory" after some files have transfered. And I need to restart the software to solve it temporaryly.

It is resolved already. Just wait for the next release. Or downgrade to stable release 4.1.9.

I am having the same issue trying to open terminal while connected via wireless to my iPhone. I tried reinstalling SSH on my iPhone, WinSCP on my two PCs to no avail. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help resolve this problem.

Same problem here.
WinSCP 4.2.3 (Build 494)
Windows Vista HP 32bit Up-to-date.

When I am trying to open terminal with SFTP protocol I am getting this error:

OS : Windows XP SP3
Transfer protocol : SFTP

While trying to open terminal from WinSCP it first gives following message:

Current SFTP-3 session does not support command you request. Separate shell session may be opened to process the command. Do you want to open separate shell session?

Note: The server must provide Unix-like shell and the shell must use same path syntax as current SFTP-3 session.

Now click ok and you will observe following error message:
