Re: Firewall Exclustions

Make sense. But I'm not expert in Filewalls. I do not even know what GPMC is (group policy management console? anyway, I do not know that one).

Re: Firewall Exclustions

Thanks for your response Martin,

We are using port 22 (as expected), we basically need to allow WinSCP.exe as an exception on the Windows Firewall via Group Policy. We are writing the policy in GPMC as you would expect but for that we need the exclusions for the application.

Please tell me if I am not making any sense.

Re: Firewall Exclustions

Depends of protocol you are using.
Load your stored session on Login dialog and check the Port number:

Firewall Exclustions

Hello,

Please forgive me if I sound stupid but I need help with something.

I am currently using WinSCP 4.2.8 (Build 818) on a network. We have decided to create a group policy for laptops that enables the firewall when the laptop is not connected to the LAN. We have had reports from some users who are now saying that when the laptop is connected to the LAN via VPN connection, WinSCP 4.2.8 does not connect. So we checked the firewall exceptions in GPMC and realise that we need to add WinSCP.exe as an exception.

My question is, we need to know what the port and IP details for firewall exclutions. Can you provide this.

Thanks in advance.
