Re: Incorrect MAC received on packet

Hello!

The log file is attached (sensitive data removed). We are at WinSCP 5.5.0 and it would be nice to know if this bug is fixed in the latest 5.5.1 version before we upgrade it or is it something we could fix by changing any config at 5.5.0.

Many thanks,
Nirupam

We are experiencing this problem too and wondering if anybody knows about the fix. We have a nightly batch downloading files through SFTP and occasionally receive this error and the download aborts.

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, use /log=path_to_log_file command-line argument. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. When using WinSCP v5.1 with SFTP mode, there is no speed degradation.
Just wanted to let you know this.

I will try to reproduce the other problem: "GUI draw problem: sometimes does not refresh correctly the server side panel, so it results a white frame with empty content."
When I do, will start a new thread, as you suggested.

Can you please open a new thread and post some screenshots? What version of WinSCP are you using?

The bug happened in WinSCP v5.1.

Thanks for sharing this. Though it does not look related. WinSCP does not use OpenSSL for SFTP. And it uses the up to date version anyway.

Finally I had to change from SCP to SFTP.
SCP was simply unusable because the often errors.

SFTP does not have errors, but the speed is very poor.

SCP had even over 2Mbyte/s copy speed
SFTP has a maximum of 400-450 kbyte/s speed.

I do beta test it, if do you need my help.

Re: Incorrect MAC received on packet.

Have you tried using SFTP instead of SCP?
