It should work with 5.1.
Please attach a full log file showing the problem.

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

Got it, thank for your always prompt reply prikryl!

One more (side) question. How can I send an empty password?

When using a colon, as below, winscp.com THEN prompts for a password (and I have JUST to press enter)
open ftp://isp815:@128.1.1.19 -rawsettings ftpAccount=815

note: I tried also both a blank line in a script file and a "invented" -rawsettings password= parameter, but with no success

Ciao All
I'm giving a look at the console mode and wondering if ACCT is managed or not.

In fact with 5.1 I simply started WinSCP.com w/o parameters to be prompted; I got user, pass but no acct and connection fail.
any hints?

Thank for the prompt reply prikryl, but... I cannot see how to state winscp to ask for the account. Sorry my dumbness!
When I start winscp the prompt after the open do not refer to acct :(

Open connection against FTP Servers which ask for "account"

Dear Support,
should be very nice if WinSCP could prompt/manage "account" paramenter when using FTP protocol.
"Account" is required by many ftp server (Fujitsu SX 2000 e.g.) and managed by both microsoft ftp and Filezilla.
Since I loved in the past WinSCP I appreciate to be able to use it too.
Account is normally promted via "332 Account required." after the "331 Password required for ABC."

Thank in advance. All hte best
