I love this suggestion.

I might add one consideration. There is a feature I've seen called "tear off tabs" that lets you move a tab out of the parent window and back again.

When I have multiple monitors, it's nice to have PuTTY open on a different monitor than WinSCP. With the tab still associated with the session and the program, it would close when you closed the main WinSCP program.

PuTTY integration into tab

What do you think about integration of PuTTY (or KiTTY) like at following pictures (one of "session" tabs is parent for HWND of PuTTY window)?





Such solution will be very cool especially in case when there are huge number of environments since eliminates the need to open zillion windows of terminal for each SSH session. It looks professional and IMHO is very useful.
