Everyday I edit and update Files on 3 different paths of the same server. It's a bit of a pain to reselect the paths everytime I restart WinSCP.

It's implemented already:

That would be great if there where such a possibility to save working directories depending on open tab, would improve work process a lot.
martin

The current working directories are currently saved as part of the site (stored session), so if you open the same site multiple times, only one set of working directries is preserved.

This may get improved later.

Yes - the same IP address and username in all 5 tabs.

I just tried it again, but with three tabs. 1. my home dir, 2 images dir, 3 css dir. Saved the workspace. Close Winscp. open Winscp. Select my saved workspace. Three tabs open, and it connects and prompts me for the pass, I enter the pass, and it authenticates. I click the 2nd tab,it connects and prompts me for the pass, I enter the pass, and it authenticates - and same for the third tab.

So you have the same site (=stored session) opened in every tab, right?

Hi

Thanks for that.

It's the 'Workspaces' option, right? It's great. However, it doesn't remember which directory I set for each tab.

I set five tabs, each the same in the left in right windows, for a single domain.

So tab 1 is root, tab 2 is the images dir, tab 3 css dir etc

Save it as a new Workspace - MyWorkSpace.

Close Winscp

Open Windscp

Open MyWorkSpace

It opens the five tabs, but they are all on root, not the dirs I saved the workspace as.

Does that make sense?

Cheers

Re: Save a session tab set?

This feature will be included into the next major release:
https://winscp.net/tracker/776

I have sent you an email with a development version of WinSCP for testing to address you have used to register on this forum.

Save a session tab set?

Gidday

Just wondering if this feature already exists in Winscp?

So like having a 'BOOKMARK ALL TABS' option that Firefox has, so that you can reopen a set of sessions that you are used to working with.

I would use it to open 5-6 dirs on the same site, which is what I do now manually so that I don' have to switch between dir levels all the time.

Cheers
