You have to click on the actual file name, not anywhere to the right (empty space, date, etc)

Re: Can't open a directory beneath one with the same name

Can you both delete following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Martin Prikryl\WinSCP 2\Configuration\CDCache
And then try again?
If it won't help, please email me complete! log file. Thanks.

I have the same problem as Marcel

[Background 1] TYPE I
[Background 1] 200 Type set to I
Cached directory change via "ss" to "/httpdocs/gallery/ss".
Getting current directory name.
Directory content loaded from cache.
PWD
257 "/httpdocs/gallery/ss" is the current directory
Cached directory change via "ss" to "/httpdocs/gallery/ss".
Getting current directory name.
Directory content loaded from cache.

I cannot right click "open" or "edit" either- the options are greyed out. I can get there via the directory tree, but I usually have that hidden.

Re: Can't open a directory beneath one with the same name

Sorry for the late respons, but accidents can happen :-(
The log :
TYPE I
200 TYPE is now 8-bit binary
Cached directory change via "code" to "/software/code".
Getting current directory name.
Directory content loaded from cache.
Cached directory change via "gas" to "/software/code/gas".
Getting current directory name.
Directory content loaded from cache.
Cached directory change via "gas" to "/software/code/gas".
Getting current directory name.
Directory content loaded from cache.
Cached directory change via "gas" to "/software/code/gas".
Getting current directory name.
Directory content loaded from cache.

There is a directory beneath "/software/code/gas" that is also named gas ("/software/code/gas/gas").
There seems no way to get there without renaming the directory above in - let's say - "/software/code/SomethingElse/gas".

Re: Can't open a directory beneath one with the same name

Please post a full log file showing the problem.

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. For posting extensive logs you may use pastebin or similar application. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

Can't open a directory beneath one with the same name

It's strange but it seems I can't open a directory when it has the same name as the parent directory.
Example http:\\JustATest.com\test\test can't be opened. Rename the last one to test_ and it works fine.

I'm using the commander mode, in FTP, on Win Vista professional, and I have the latest version (the previous one had the same error).
