Note that it work under PuTTY; we can choice the format we want to use to send (UTF8, in Window/Translation menu of PuTTY)

Can't connect to server with accents in password

Hello to all

I am here to report a bug in WinSCP (actual tested : 5.1.4, Build 3020) in connection to linux server (Debian 6 & Debian 7 tested) in SFTP. (Client tested on Windows XP SP3 32bits, Windows 7 64bits, Windows 8 64bits). in GUI mode Commander

Since we have add an accent in the password in UTF8 format, we can't no more connect to server with this user.
We have tested with removed accent, it work, but not with accent (and we can't specify the format we want to use to send authentication, can be the problem ?)

Error is simple : "accès refusé" (access denied i suppose in english) in log window

Thank you to all to have a look on it, and for your support
