Re: logfile attached

Strange thing is that you are able to transfer directory listing. So I do not understand why it does not work for files. Can you try to transfer small text file (hundreds of bytes) using text/ascii transfer mode?

Re: error when sending files through a http proxy

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

error when sending files through a http proxy

Dear Forum users

Our Network is behind a http proxy

I have problems with some ftp servers when trying to send files.
The error does not appear on all target ftp servers, only at some of them

error message:
Error retrieving server address, cannot test if address is routable

the file will be transfered onlypartial, not the complete file.
The file is a csv file, change transfer mode from binary to asci or counterwise does not lead to success.

When I send the file via Filezilla, it works

kind regards
Thomas Pfaff
