It should work even if you configure the path in GUI in advance. Can you post an example of your previous script?

I am using v 5.1.7

When I use winscp.com with the /xmllog switch I do get the correct session name in the log file.

That's the way to go, apparently!

I have checked 'Enable XML logging to file' with a path of
C:\log\WinSCP-!S-!Y-!M-!D-!T.xml


I have two scripts which run as scheduled tasks every 10 minutes. One script launches a "test" profile and the other launches a "live" profile.

No matter which script runs, the log file is named with the "test" session:
WinSCP-test-2013-08-20-074500.xml

WinSCP-test-2013-08-20-074700.xml


If I'm doing something wrong, please advise, but it seems like a 'bug' to me. :o
