What kind of difficulties?

Could you move this option into a session option set (rather than login option set)?

What do you mean by "session option set" (as opposite to "login option set")?
pstein

Ok, thank you. I am used to call WinSCP immediately by a shortcut with a predefined session name as parameter. So I hardly ever stopped at the login page.

However I had difficulties to change the UFT option for such an already existing session.

After I manually (!) added the line

Uft=1

in winscp.ini section for this session everything worked fine. This is somehow unhandy.

Could you move this option into a session option set (rather than login option set)?

Thank you
martin

That screenshot is for Login dialog, not for Preferences dialog. In the latest beta the option is available in Advanced session setting dialog.
pstein

Thank you for answer, BUT the dialog window snapshot on top of page
https://winscp.net/eng/docs/ui_login_environment#utf
contains an option for UTF.
On my system the "Preferences" dialog windows does NOT have such an option (see
attached snapshot).I use newest WinSCP 5.1.7.

I have not found another place where this UTF-8 option has moved.

Where is it?

Re: Display files with cyrillic/russian file names?

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

Display files with cyrillic/russian file names?

I logged in into a remote server and navigated to a certain directory.

Much to my surprise a couple (all) files with cyrillic/russian file names are NOT displayed correctly.

Instead some special char mess is displayed.

The file names themselves are correct. I could read them through other clients
FileZilla.

How can I read the correclty as well in WinSCP? Is there an option?

Peter
