Re: Windows 8.1 and IE 11 Compatibilty issues

I'm using Windows 8.1 myself. No problem so far.

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

Windows 8.1 and IE 11 Compatibilty issues

I have just installed and have started to use a windows 8.1 machine and everything so far seems to be working ok. With two major exceptions and that is Winscp and putty. I use these to access remote redhat linux servers and it appears that there are some compatibility issues. Putty it will only run for maybe a minute or 2 and then locks up. For Winscp and Filezilla they can connect to the server but both give an error that there is an error listing the root directory. It is not a network or server problem as I have a Win7 machine with the exact same versions and on the same network that connect to and read the remote server with out a problem. it has to be something with windows 8.1 or perhaps even something with IE11. It seems there are a lot posts but no answers as to what the issue might be.
I have tried some of the suggestions in the forum, turning off optimization buffer size and there is not change. I have turned off the firewall and windows defender and same results. I was hoping that someone else may have had the problem and have a solution.
