It's okay

Prikryl,

I tested it and it looks great. I'll tell you more when I finish the test.

After, I'm going to see if I can show it to another friends to jump to this platform ;-) (goodbye Filezilla hahahaha)

Thank you so much!

Re: Re: Temporal directory deleted

Prikryl,

Thanks for the quick reply :D

It's a shame that I can't do that. It's something that I can do with another editor that I use (if you like I can send you a private message with the name of the program), and I just open the app, connect to the server again the next day... and all is ready ;-)

This is not unreasonable: sometimes I (and a lot of friends) am working in 10 files at once in the same project (html, css, php, js...), each in a different route. If I use WinSCP I have to find each file again... whenever I close the program

Best regards and thanks again
martin

Re: Temporal directory deleted

Thanks for your post.

This request is being tracked already:
https://winscp.net/tracker/593

Though note that not-deleting the temporary folder would not make WinSCP pickup the files on the next start. You'd have to reopen them anyway. Have you considered sleeping or hibernating your computer instead of turning it off?

Temporal directory deleted

WinSCP version: 5.5.1
OS: Windows 8.1
Transfer protocol: FTP
Interface: Commander

Hi everybody :D

When I close WinSCP, it always delete the temporal folder.

I was searching for a solution because I'm working with Sublime Text and when I shut down PC, and power on it again the next day, I always lost the temporal files... and when I open Sublime Text and WinSCP again, the opened files in Sublime Text are obsoleted and I have to close all of them in Sublime Text and search again in WinSCP.

I changed the preferences:

- I created another temporal folder called "/temp-folder"
- I unchecked "Clean up obsolete..."

Then... When I close WinSCP I can see how temporal folders (scp?????) inside "/temp-folder" are deleted.

Can you help me? I saw in documentation section "When WinSCP is not closed correctly for whatever reason or it just cannot remove the files because they are still opened in an external aplication (text editor), the temporary files remain on your computer." It's okay?

Thanks in advance,

P.D. Thank you so much for the program. I'm testing and is so pretty ^^
