OK, so that's normal file transfer progress window. You cannot turn that off. But you can configure WinSCP to always upload files on background. That way you do not get the progress window.

annoying pop up

Hi just installed winSCP after using CoreFTP for a long time (ftpLE for years before that). Very impressed so far, looks like I've found my new FTP program.

Only one annoyance I can't seem to get rid of. When I transfer a file, a popup box briefly flashes up as the file transfer completes. I'd prefer to not see this. I can show the queue if I need to monitor a large transfer but as I'm a webdev the files are tiny and the box only flashes for a second.

I saw this post https://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4228 on I think the same issue but have no idea what /defaults is or if the issue was resolved.

I'm using version 5.5.3
