I have a text file in windows that I am transferring to Linux using batch script. I have transfer option binary set but still a empty newline is added at the end of the file. Not sure how to deal with this?

Thanks for your reply. If i try binary mode i will get a carriage return after every line in the text file, ascii mode puts one carriage return at the end of the very last line of the text file. i've tested transfering that same text file with normal FTP and it doesn't add that carriage return. am i doing something wrong?

I can be caused by ascii more transfer. Try to switch to binary. Please read documentation.

i'm noticing that a carriage return is being added at the very end of all text files when i transfer a file from the PC to my host. is there anyway to fix this?
