Maybe I'm wrong, but "splash screen" is AFAIK used for those images shown when some application is starting (like MS Word has).

Anyway there's currently no way for you to modify the login dialog easily.

If you want I can send you "translation file" that would "translate" only title of the login window to display some custom text. But it will work only for the current version and I'm not going to update it for you for each new version.

You may also put the text into name of the stored session like "Double-click me to login to OurCompany FTP"

Some people might not realize that a text intro or info window or you can even call it a "splash screen" are already built in to your FTP programs and you only need to create the file including the info you want displayed. I wonder if WinSCP picked up on one those files and displayed it like an FTP program would.

What FTP programs? Give me example. Maybe I'll able to better understand what you need then.

The joys of open source software! If someone has created a Splash Screen or intro for the program or individual sites please share it with the rest of us and I will help yoo to modify it or them.

I am new to WinSCP so please excuse my posting probably a little earlier than I should have. Even after getting to know it better I am sure I will be asking my own questions. Thank you for your time.

Adding custom text to the splash screen

How can I add text to the 'LOGIN' splash screen?

Specifically, we want to provide pre-customized WinSCP to our customers to allow them to FTP files to us.

In the .ini file, we can put in the userid and directory, etc.

We would like to be able to add a message in the body of the session window. Something like:

Welcome to OurCompany FTP.
Double click on the session name above
to start.
