FTPS server disconnect during directory listing = sync fail

I'm using WinSCP (5.5.6) to backup (mirror) a Windows hosted website accessible only with FTPS to my Win7 desktop. The problem I have is that the server will intermittently disconnect during the comparison phase and this aborts the backup. I think WinSCP recovers ok from server disconnects during the transfer of the files that have changed, and it reconnects ok after the error below, but fails to resume the synchronisation task.

Log extract:
Retrieving directory listing...

CWD /MyLocation/Folder1

Disconnected from server
Could not retrieve directory listing
(ESshFatal) **Lost connection.**
Disconnected from server
Could not retrieve directory listing
Error listing directory '/MyLocation/Folder1'.
